160gsm paper. Most notebooks this price run 80 to 100gsm, which is where ink bleeds through and shows on the other side. Every batch here is pen-tested by hand with gel pens, fountain pens, brush pens, and markers before it ships. Nothing bleeds through.

Cotton Hardcover

100% cotton twill, not faux leather. Faux leather peels and cracks at the corners within a year, no matter how good it looks in the store. Cotton twill doesn't peel. It wears in, not out.

Layflat Binding

Smyth-sewn, not glued. Opens flat and stays flat, no hand needed to hold it down. Glued spines are why journals split down the middle before they're finished. This one won't.
