I’m Jeremiah, the founder of Thovia. I’ve always been drawn to people who think creatively, but I’m much more of a systems person. The creatives around me rarely lacked ideas or ambition. What they often lacked was a system that helped them consistently follow through. That became the role I wanted Thovia to play, giving creatives structure that helps them execute without getting in the way of how they create.
What separates wanting from doing
The summer before launching Thovia, I interned in the Hamptons and found myself around millionaires and billionaires who had built companies and lives at a level I had never seen up close. I expected some kind of specialized knowledge to separate them from everyone else, but what stood out was execution. They made decisions, solved problems, followed through, and kept going when other people stopped. It made me start wondering why so many people know what they want but still struggle to follow through.
Why do we stop?
That question led me to spend months researching more than 600,000 posts from notebook, productivity, and creative communities. One pattern kept showing up. People would miss a few days, break a streak, or fall behind, then the guilt of being off track made it harder to start again. The problem wasn’t that they stopped caring about their goals. They were using systems where falling off made it harder to come back.
Built around how people actually work
So we designed Thovia around a different idea. Real consistency isn’t never falling off, it’s being able to come back. Every notebook is undated, each one has a clear purpose, and the structure is designed to guide without becoming restrictive. Our research also uncovered the physical reasons people abandon notebooks, so we became just as obsessive about the paper, binding, and materials. The goal was to remove as many reasons to stop as we could.
I’m betting on it too
That same summer, I worked as a waiter alongside my internship to save enough money to launch Thovia. I put all of that money into paper tests, samples, packaging, product development, and our first bulk order. I’m still in college now, building Thovia alongside everything else and seeing how far I can take it. I started this company because I believe execution can change the direction of your life, and now I’m putting that belief to the test.

Thovia was founded by Jeremiah Anderson, a student entrepreneur. The company is based in New York and is run day to day by its founder.

Thovia makes five undated hardcover notebooks: the Freedom Notebook, the Clarity Daily Planner, the Devotion Habit Tracker, the Growth Reflective Journal, and the Ambition Goal Planner. All five are Smyth-sewn with cloth hardcovers on 160gsm acid-free paper.
